Legal Consults

why should I consider a legal consult?
If you are facing a family law issue, but cannot afford to pay a traditional retainer fee, a basic legal consultsmay be the answer.  If you have to represent yourself in a matter (what the TN legal community calls pro se), you need to be as prepared as possible.    During a consultations, I can answer questions, explain the court process and prepare you for the unknown.    Instead of spending days or hours trying to do all the research on your own, I can give you information in less than 45 minutes.   Even if you already have an attorney, but are frustrated and want a second opinion, I am here to help.   The consultation is not a FREE consult.

Through a consultation, I can provide information the following legal topics:
  • divorce
  • child support
  • custody
  • adoption, including termination of parental rights
  • juvenile delinquencies
  • forms and court procedures
  • how to file documents and filing fees
  • resources for drafting documents, including answers, petitions, motions, and the like
  • development of case strategy
  • discovery documents
  • court hearing preparation

For a legal consult,  It would help if you have questions prepared for me to make the most value out of your session.   I will also ask for you to email all relevant pleadings and documents ahead of time.

Just as an FYI, it is always best to hire an attorney in a family case, especially if the other side has one.    The consultation does not create an attorney/client relationship.
