When you are involved in litigation, it is very important to keep a calendar documenting all relevant events.       This is important because court dockets are very crowded and by the time you get in front of a Judge, it is very likely that many things will have happened.    You may forget dates and times of important events, but if you keep a calendar, it will help refresh both your memory and memory of your attorney.    As an attorney, I like it when my clients email me their calendars, because I can print it out and put in in their files and have it in front of me when I go to court.    I have a lot of cases and even though my memory is good, it would be impossible for me to remember everything.

In custody cases in particular, it is important to keep track of visits and issues that came up during visitation.    This record will prove invaluable to you in court.
